BAGPIPER TO PLAY, SPEAK AT JULY MEETING

The Leeds Historical Society meets on the second Sunday of each month at 2 p.m. at the historic Depot in Leeds. The depot is located at the corner of 9th Street and Thornton Avenue. There is no admission charge, and guests are welcome.
The July 13 meeting will feature world-acclaimed piper Jim McRae, who will play his bagpipe and talk about the history of the instrument.
 McRae is with the Alabama Pipes and Drums. He led the group to top honors in a world competition in Glasgow and has given a solo performance in Russia. He has performed in competitions and programs across the county.
